Having a child at home really gave me an opportunity to explore and try a lot of bake goodies. I was looking for something that I can put yogurt, until i finally stumble on the recipe tips from ikea. I tried the recipe but I find the texture so soft, more like of a pancake than scones, so I made a little bit of revision. I decided to put egg in the recipe and increase the amount of flour a bit. A success on my part for my little boy enjoyed it.<br />
<br />
Here's the recipe:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
300 g flour</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2 teaspoon baking powder</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 pc egg</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
50 g butter</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
200 ml plain yogurt</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
pinch of salt</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
cheese for toppings</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Preheat the oven to 220 degree celsius. Combine all the dry ingredients, flour and baking powder until thoroughly mixed. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mixed everything aside from the cheese, reserve it for toppings. I used the electric mixer for mixing. Pour it in greased muffin form and topped it with cheese slices. You can top it with anything you like, it maybe bacon, ham or marmalade. You can also add a little sugar if you like. Bake it for 15 minutes. That's it. Really easy and tasty. </div>

It's my first time to join this "meme". Colors can be so interesting. It made me realize that each color actually says something and it's only then I realize how much orange invaded my home. I like this happy color anyway. I can never think of orange in a gloomy way. Even the falling of the leaves that turned orange still a sprightly sight for me.<br />

Winter can be so cold and gloomy. Having warm colors at home can at least defy the effects of nature. This meme made me think how we often forget simple gifts in life. <div style="text-align: justify;">
It's my little ones favorite. BANANA. It may be the fruit itself, make it a bread or even a yogurt. To please him with something to eat,you can never go wrong with banana flavor. The all time favorite:) It's actually difficult for me to have stocks of ripe bananas. At home, these are consumed right away. You can now imagine how we love bananas. What i usually do, is freeze the ripe banana until I could accumulate 4 pieces of it. As soon as I have four, I can bake banana bread right away. This recipe calls for 1 teaspoon baking soda, unfortunately I don't have any so I substituted it with 3 teaspoon of baking powder. And it still turned out great. Here's the recipe.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
1 cup ripe bananas (usually 4 pcs medium size)<br />
1 1/2 cups flour<br />
1/2 cup sugar<br />
2 pcs eggs<br />
1/2 cup vegetable oil<br />
1 tsp salt<br />
1 tsp vanilla<br />
3 tsp baking powder<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius. Mix all the dry ingredients, flour, sugar,salt,and baking powder. If everything is thoroughly mixed, then combine the rest of the ingredients, the bananas,vegetable oil and vanilla. Mix everything together, I used electric mixer until batter is formed. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan and bake for an hour. Let it cool and grab a slice. Enjoy!</div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com3Hallbergmoos, Germany48.3250947 11.743215548.2828637 11.6642515 48.3673257 11.822179499999999tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-29243580543909714252012-01-20T16:41:00.000+01:002012-01-20T16:41:46.080+01:00Glad to be back!<div>
<span style="text-align: justify;">I was out of the blogging world for while. We were in Ireland for almost 3 weeks. Ireland is our favorite destination during holidays because this is the nearest place where I can find people closest to the heart...my sister and her family. Me, with the unending exchange of thoughts with my sister while the little one enjoying the company of his cousins, and my hubby of course enjoying his holiday with the family and being off from work. It's always been a delightful experience to be in the company of people you care and love. This is just a small-scale experience, I can only imagine how joyous it would be if it would be my entire family, all together in one place. Every time I think of it, it always painted a smile on my face. Happiness really comes from simple joys. I think i posted a lot of times already about Ireland, but every time we are there, there's always something to tell.I'd like to share some photos we had.</span></div>

Being together, and sharing memories together are the priceless gifts one can give to their love ones. It is of course, with God's providence and grace that my parent's visit made possible.And the combination of efforts from all of us. All the siblings did the share to process everything until it became a reality. Filipino citizens are required a visa to enter Germany and The Republic of Ireland, so their efforts started of course from applying visa to the embassies of the countries mentioned above. Germany-- so they can visit me and my family and Ireland-- to visit my sister and her family.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">It was a fulfilling and reflective moments for me, for I was given the chance to take care of them, do some cooking, cleaning, and some other mundane stuffs that one could have done, if you live in the same place. One instance was I was able to color mama's hair, had their nails trimmed, and prepared a nice warm bath for them to enjoy. It was indeed a lovely time together. Finally, I have my driving license today. My heart is leaping with joy and so much gladness. I praise God and thank Him for it. My (driving) practical exam lasted for about 35 minutes. I was a little nervous as I get hold of the key and adjusting the mirrors. The examiner and the driving instructor got inside the car. The examiner then gave me instruction on how the examination goes. Before he instructed me to start driving he asked a question (of course in german) if I know where the hazard light located and if I know how to turn it on. Of course I knew it, but the problem was, I didn't understand his question. He sounded like saying "veh-nen", I said to myself, what word is that? What does it mean? I thanked God that the examiner was a bit patient with me, and complimented it with action, then I realized that he was saying "warnen" which means warning. Btw, in German "w" is pronounced as "v". As I got it, I just showed the hazard light switch and that actually break the ice. They were laughing at me, knowing that it's not that I don't know about it but I don't understand the question itself. I did a good start, it was when we were in the Motorway that I screwed up (just a little bit). You can really see that the driving instructor and the examiner were in full attention on how would I enter the motorway. I think, I did it right, I heard the examiner saying "Jawohl" which means "yes, indeed!" It was when he asked me to exit in the direction to Stuttgart that I did the mistake. I exited correctly, but as I reached the exit, there were two lanes, and it was so bad of me not see that the right lane is leading to an emergency bay. I was so focused on the idea that I should use the right lane, and I was wrong. But it's not too late anyway, I noticed that it will lead me to dead end, perhaps with all the angels backing up I was so calm, and was able to think right, I managed to change to the left lane which leads me to the right direction. I really thought that was it. It's over. That was a sign of poor observation of course, but I just continue to do my best. As we exit the motor way, we went to some federal roads, and residential areas, did parallel parking and headed back to the driving school. As I glanced at the back, the examiner was smiling at me, ask me to sign something and handed me my license, what a relief, whew! It was a wonderful day. In my head I was shouting yehey! I did it.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I would like to talk about driving in Germany and that includes getting a license, but I would need a separate post for that so I can put more details about it. </div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-9556069257099111862011-11-21T10:05:00.001+01:002011-11-21T12:24:03.348+01:00latte macchiato<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZGUG_L5Y3T_lqILpwTR7XChvL1NU7nswnnaut5E9yILLBwRjl4BGQKiFk8H-7CJSxHfkDdOjd4pINFYQiUXUwUqnB5MSgsSsXJ0tQgkzv_WXjcpin4atF4LE_XsqCWkmKYa_cVw/s1600/DSC_0453.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 212px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZGUG_L5Y3T_lqILpwTR7XChvL1NU7nswnnaut5E9yILLBwRjl4BGQKiFk8H-7CJSxHfkDdOjd4pINFYQiUXUwUqnB5MSgsSsXJ0tQgkzv_WXjcpin4atF4LE_XsqCWkmKYa_cVw/s320/DSC_0453.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5677407395500657298" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span">my caramel latte macchiato at home</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Sky is gray, chilly and everything looks gloomy. A warm drink can fill it anyway.I like to drink coffee occasionally but my hubby totally does not, so it's not practical for us to buy a coffee machine if its only for me and of course for some guest. I want something that all of us can enjoy and use it. So we started checking out the small coffee/drink machines. We compare functionality and prices, until we came up with a winner. We finally have our coffee machine, no wait, not just coffee but tea machine as well. We both enjoy it,having coffee occasionally and enjoying tea time together. I like my coffee mild and with lots of milk, it doesn't sound coffee anymore right? but it is...<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latte_macchiato"> latte macchiato</a> just suits well to my taste. I don't need to go to coffeeshops anymore to enjoy it. I just usually cook whatever it is that's available. Last night, when I checked the fridge I saw the ox tail and nearly on its expiry date, so that made me think to just put in a slow cooker so it would be hassle free cooking for tomorrow. I let it sit there for 9 hours. So now, I have a very nice broth and tender ox tail ready for my kare kare.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Here's the recipe:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">500 g<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>ox tail</div><div style="text-align: left;">100 ml peanut butter</div><div style="text-align: left;">1/2 big<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>eggplant </div><div style="text-align: left;">1 cup <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">green </span>beans</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 cup cabbage</div><div style="text-align: left;">1/2 big<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>pepper</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 tsp.<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>red pepper powder</div><div style="text-align: left;">1/2 pc<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;">. </span>onions</div><div style="text-align: left;">1/2 clove<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>garlic</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 tsp<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>oil</div><div style="text-align: left;">1 tbsp<span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>sauteed shrimp paste (bagoong)</div><div style="text-align: left;">salt</div><div style="text-align: left;">pepper</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Saute garlic and onion in a oil, then put the cooked ox tail and cook for few minutes. Let it boil for few minutes and put all the vegetables, while the veggies are half cooked, pour the diluted peanut butter. Put the sauteed shrimp paste or bagoong and mix until the veggies are done. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. That's it!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">It would have been nice if I have the tripe, and some of beef slices,but the ox tail that we have is just perfect.Traditionally it should have atsuete but I don't have it so I used the red pepper powder and believe me, it turned out really great.You can use cornstarch to thicken the sauce,but I prefer the sauce thinner. It's customary in almost all kindergarten in Germany to have this kind of celebration every November. They call it <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin's_Day">St. Martin's day</a> where kids are encourage to make their lanterns and as darkness comes, the parents and children with their paper lantern will go out side and have its procession. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">In Johann's kindergarten we started with the children singing and their teacher playing the musical instrument. Then, they had a short story telling about St. Martin. Followed by a simple presentation with candles. It's fun to see the kids singing and doing some interpretative dance and actions. After that, we then started the procession. My little boy did a good job with his lantern, he's holding it with great care. By the way, the light in this paper lantern is a tea candle. The procession took about 15 minutes or more. And as we all came back, we ended it with a small bonfire while enjoying the cookies, sweets and hot children punch. It was a fun filled activity for all of us. ">It’s been almost 2 years since we moved to our place now. I recall how we set things up little by little until everything seems complete. Even how sophisticated and glamorous the furniture you put, I don’t know if you agree with me, it is always the lighting that will complete the whole look of the house and of course it’s you who will make it a home. I am minimalist in almost all aspect so we actually bought the very basic ones and now not even a year one lighting bites the dust and then the next one and so on. I was quite disappointed really, somehow reliable source and good quality matters after all. So now I’m looking for a lighting retailer that specializes in indoor and outdoor lighting product. I am thinking of a <a href="http://www.lampclick.com/contemporary-modern-pendant-lights.html">contemporary modern pendant lighting</a> for the dining area. I should say in our home, dining area is the part where lighting is always in use. Now, I’m giving you an idea of how much time we spent on dining. Pendant style is very functional in times where you need just a little light on specific area. Even before we settle for the lighting that we have right now(the one in the picture above), I was hoping to have the pendant style but just could not find the right one. <a href="http://www.lampclick.com/contemporary-modern-bathroom-lighting.html">Contemporary vanity</a> lights would also be perfect for the bathroom. We have a small bathroom and there’s not much that you can do, and lighting would glam it up. I’m more into modern look, so <a href="http://www.lampclick.com/contemporary-modern-lighting.html">contemporary light fixtures</a> are the ones that I need and that suits my taste well. Winter is fast approaching, the days are becoming shorter so light will make things bright. It may be outdoor or indoor we all need light, more so in this time of the year. I’m very much excited with the new lighting to give a new look and shall I say a house revamp. With the new lighting winter can never be so cold after all.</span><br /></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-9556547710495742752011-11-07T18:44:00.004+01:002011-11-08T13:16:07.056+01:00Disneyland Again!<div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-align: justify; "><span style="font-size: 11pt; background-color: transparent; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; "><br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-align: justify; "><span id="internal-source-marker_0.8371687419712543" style="font-size: 11pt; background-color: transparent; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; ">My son's smile and laughter is an instant vacation. His fascination for Toy Story made this visit more interesting. Just by looking the way how my little boy was in so much awe of the characters he met, gave me so much joy. It is indeed true that joy comes from seeing others happy. Nothing much change in Disneyland since the last time we visited the place. This post was supposed to be last year but wasn't finished at all. So when I open my blog and see there's still a post left unpublished, I decided to just edit it and give my thought about it. This was my thought last year about my little boy's first kindergarten experience.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"Stress comes from different parts of our world. I would say mine would be this kindergarten thing. From the stage where your child would scream at the top his lungs just for you to stay, which unfortunately not allowed here till the adjustment period that your child needs which they call it <b><i>ungewohnungzeit"</i></b> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">It was indeed a horrible experience for me and most of all for my child. Everything just clashed from culture to beliefs. Just to give you a glimpse of the experience, here it is. Since my boy is 3 years old, he should know how to put on his own jacket and shoes, no holding of toys during meal times, he should be sociable enough and should try to join with other kids and should be playful. Although I believed these are good things to be learned, these should not be imposed very early. The teacher and child should at least build a trust/friendship before learning will start. In addition to my child's agony, he understands no German at all and was immerse in a German kindergarten. It was indeed tough and hard for my child that within a duration of 1 month, he has never adjusted to his new situation. He's no longer crying when we bring him to school, but an outburst of anger and frustration when I collected him. To make the story short, he stopped in this kindergarten. We had discussions with the teachers and seems to agree that it's just the language that made it all difficult, and the teachers also recommended an ergotherapie for the little one because there are plenty of things that my child can't do yet or is not willing to do, that a 3-year old child should be able to do it already. So just to make sure, we refer it to his pediatrician. The pediatrician doesn't recommend to push through with ergotherapie because for him, he's too young to know that he can't really do such thing. He recommended to immerse our child in an environment where we think he could understand better, just to make sure that it's the language that hinders the smooth integration. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">So then, we flew to Ireland and stayed there for 3 mos. and enrolled him in play school. We're so glad that he's doing fine and seems to like school after all. When we came back here in Germany we then enroll him in an English kindergarten here in Neufahrn and he's loving it. My dilemma is on how he would cope in the normal German kindergarten again. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I registered for the kindergarten and was given a slot for this school year. That started last September.Johann was screaming when we first visited the new German kindergarten.He's crying and keep on telling me, no!!! only English kindergarten.I was so curious on how things will go. At first I talk to the Directress and told her of what we been through and how that experience affected my little boy. We did several meetings on how to have a smooth beginning and indeed it was.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I thank God that this new kindergarten seems to understand my concerns and they are so patient with the "ungewohnungzeit" phase. Just days, my little boy is loving school now. He has now few German words and seems to enjoy his new environment.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I would say the horrible experience that we had of course was not solely to be blame of course on the kindergarten alone. Maybe Johann was not yet ready enough for school at that time. Although the Directress in this new kindergarten agreed that there are mistakes along the way with the first KiGa and is hoping that they'll be able to correct it this time.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">It's indeed a happy ending. A happy child means a happy mom as well! :)</div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-59672963522305597862009-09-10T16:35:00.000+02:002009-12-09T16:30:12.120+01:00Cliffs of Moher<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;"><br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;"><br /></span></span></div><div>This place is one of the most popular tourist destination in Ireland. Millions may have visited the place every year but you won't be deprived of the extravagance of its landscape. The view is simply breathtaking. The sun shone brightly and it was indeed a lovely day. We were able to enjoy the sight blended with the enchanting irish music of Tina O' brien. An absolute must see, I should say. </div><div><br /></div><div>There's a charge of 8 euro per car for admission and that covers all the people in the car and charge for facilities. It's comparatively inexpensive. If you want to experience the cliffs virtually they have the so called Atlantic edge Exhibition and you will be charge for extra 4.50 euros for that. My hubby and my sister's hubby opted not to try it, they prefer just to be with us and the kids enjoying the place. What made it more interesting, is to see shops built inside the hill. It's amazing! All I can say is we certainly have a satisfying visitor experience. Photos may not be enough to justify the beauty of nature but I hope you'll enjoy what I have here:</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWV0RJ4zOHtxfe2ExRkQJ5VAhMlaWffjEvbYD6b9rbM4AAzhndBsm4d32JSHn_9zt2RNhid6NZFVNaZca5gVLcN1O8am_a36xpth7kNUlJiJ-mm-JDQfe6yLFHnrJoKi78Dtyh7w/s1600-h/6048_1201982533408_1343938178_578679_3383782_n.jpg"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWV0RJ4zOHtxfe2ExRkQJ5VAhMlaWffjEvbYD6b9rbM4AAzhndBsm4d32JSHn_9zt2RNhid6NZFVNaZca5gVLcN1O8am_a36xpth7kNUlJiJ-mm-JDQfe6yLFHnrJoKi78Dtyh7w/s320/6048_1201982533408_1343938178_578679_3383782_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413255759026808306" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px; " /></a><div style="text-align: center;">cliffs of Moher</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqJyKnzxWgzOYFh7qSvqFUWa11nou7U2ORBZ8Pce2jwPeDC76hwD9k3g6SYLBxO8hkTehrhqAt4XVRduW2gQ1kVcaDJrwwIcOB_b7d9i_X9pGQ5r6paDM7hMvXOsX-cz79JphgFg/s320/6048_1201982413405_1343938178_578676_3264075_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413255751667263202" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px; " /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiH2DOhGpbroyh7N82VkRCrP9USvz6Oi05zQqJvesl2fTL6FHLryy9sIgawKO6xW82sR6rKVQ5Vn3CStdR1HhBRlkJndN5OfdKpOqwdr8KNhHKQNIJ4xhAAAncM8sq9BMWApQoCg/s1600-h/6048_1201982493407_1343938178_578678_7851282_n.jpg"></a></div><div><br /></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiH2DOhGpbroyh7N82VkRCrP9USvz6Oi05zQqJvesl2fTL6FHLryy9sIgawKO6xW82sR6rKVQ5Vn3CStdR1HhBRlkJndN5OfdKpOqwdr8KNhHKQNIJ4xhAAAncM8sq9BMWApQoCg/s1600-h/6048_1201982493407_1343938178_578678_7851282_n.jpg" style="text-decoration: none;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiH2DOhGpbroyh7N82VkRCrP9USvz6Oi05zQqJvesl2fTL6FHLryy9sIgawKO6xW82sR6rKVQ5Vn3CStdR1HhBRlkJndN5OfdKpOqwdr8KNhHKQNIJ4xhAAAncM8sq9BMWApQoCg/s320/6048_1201982493407_1343938178_578678_7851282_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413255754853321218" style="text-align: center;display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px; " /></a><div style="text-align: center;">O'brien Tower</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-bVwa6vuo0CfR4gK33jnuDsL204zQRfokBt9KFByw3avUlfn_R4q91BEMqdqbjb5R_RVlN57wXGJPVBobRB-FTxQZWNWROtxsiSjEG6MXhf5kfUA0Aaz73Fvui8dFMPUizuZErQ/s1600-h/6048_1201982253401_1343938178_578673_4077747_n.jpg"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-bVwa6vuo0CfR4gK33jnuDsL204zQRfokBt9KFByw3avUlfn_R4q91BEMqdqbjb5R_RVlN57wXGJPVBobRB-FTxQZWNWROtxsiSjEG6MXhf5kfUA0Aaz73Fvui8dFMPUizuZErQ/s320/6048_1201982253401_1343938178_578673_4077747_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413255743702505618" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px; " /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">cliffs of Moher shops</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-91330733179856795522009-09-09T15:57:00.002+02:002009-12-09T13:05:49.293+01:00Conemara Trip<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;"><br /></span></span></div>The rain does not stop us to enjoy Conemara. I just thought it would be lovelier maybe if it's sunny. The overcast and rainshowers gave us a different look but certainly the place is amazing. It's around 1 hour drive from the city center. Mists and dampness are definitely the elements that you're not looking for summer, and irish summer is, can be a little bit disappointing. However,that same natural elements made the countryside so green. If you're a lover of this stunning coastal sceneries, you'll definitely love the place. We stopped for a while to take a glimpse and have some photos of the place.<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhysUfVuoDVLj8ysHnA_ZkjknSD_0T2H45XMOmewKNUqmYLGcQ4UyCVB3ROI3Bv6SDjXQPOAJdT8k82xmXzwjzkis3ZQ2JHjmmaMxM9qShzP1_MJ_qeyyAzJQbJV899xra5TA45gg/s1600-h/6048_1201982093397_1343938178_578669_6028404_n.jpg"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhysUfVuoDVLj8ysHnA_ZkjknSD_0T2H45XMOmewKNUqmYLGcQ4UyCVB3ROI3Bv6SDjXQPOAJdT8k82xmXzwjzkis3ZQ2JHjmmaMxM9qShzP1_MJ_qeyyAzJQbJV899xra5TA45gg/s320/6048_1201982093397_1343938178_578669_6028404_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413204927695087122" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px; " /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="white-space: normal; "><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Lake Inagh <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span></span></div></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfe1YIoNM2xpsnppARz_vT5bOaTt5rWbus6p0KtU4GXZ14cq6KtbFCCKTmX4Nube7Jdo0c-LRr1Efae_n1wOynICAS5x0JgiEj9MAmg5oQPX5rZfTOdeBMcLXr02YPxaGt2G1b2g/s1600-h/6048_1201982053396_1343938178_578668_3473258_n.jpg"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfe1YIoNM2xpsnppARz_vT5bOaTt5rWbus6p0KtU4GXZ14cq6KtbFCCKTmX4Nube7Jdo0c-LRr1Efae_n1wOynICAS5x0JgiEj9MAmg5oQPX5rZfTOdeBMcLXr02YPxaGt2G1b2g/s320/6048_1201982053396_1343938178_578668_3473258_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413204923153245842" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px; " /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Conemara</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div>One of its attraction is the Kylemore Abbey. This time we got the chance to visit Galway. We spent 3 days in this lovely place.It is around 3 and a half drive from Co.Meath (near Dublin City). As we arrived, the first stop we've got was the Atlantaquaria. It's an indoor aquarium, the place is not overwhelmingly fantastic but just enough to make the little ones enjoy it. What made it commendable is not the place itself but the guided tour for children. They were able to touch the star fishes and crabs in a way that these animals will not be hurt and of course safe enough for the children. They also participated in feeding the fishes which certainly was a fantastic experience for the kids. Here are some photos we had.<div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-wS294PLLZuHC1S2dChfKA0feZX1uFfOgMBIUTSCCZO3MamZrKpJV0_nFtWfXaLznuVt3fjh7JEu37OlKuo8Xz0gUl6Fq3ziN1XR5YU2DDwRI-MfW5s6LCZmruKFUYBLM5tFjyw/s320/DSC_0487.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379027458348263554" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /><div style="text-align: center;">touching the star fish</div></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgauQ0NeQePHBfVFet3_O98xJWwcVeNqahhE9I0OAn6fkVcRZmjo1Nso5IShRztHf9PjFZDMQRGk6nbfZFP2Rh3o8w9LRKPYcUD0XvEoR1KQiqlLBo-SMKLVDyjk-EHd2hFoZiv0w/s320/DSC_0490.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379027469689764050" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">having fun with the fishes</div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDAs6UTdtf_jpnu9daAq_x7wJT8bFUfCXRdcdKs-HCFr5vgpQVDTSgIUcnj3cYaHAdQQi2dOUq9FO-Zj-bBpb_uAte-MlU7HqAvtG93hjInRsQlnoYj_KkF29vIrMW0BoR6aR2zg/s320/DSC_0516.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379027474154355458" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">at sea promenade, super windy</div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNWnFJrQTQ4PjnFzxahylr6WcZv6qBz9rkAlEjZzrYgGRoW0z5eK7aMRStp7jEWo-n830O9h0fT_Qh6KIrZhwcvadiZfoYZHjGiuvvA6_qc1A9FhUGzgFilD9LWlAt4L0c0SbR-w/s320/DSC_0532.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379027481872557698" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /><div style="text-align: center;"> corrib village</div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJZrHTxlV1tcQZklBNa1507cn22dE2nR6GYMr7huLnTY1Hjc81EENRUnZkNo21o5fOcNmJZGY8mqhjyJLFkR8WNEqBXBebxjxCMXXIsC8zP68Z7-U2DhLlYwJg9l626OOHoQi0Ww/s1600-h/DSC_0578.JPG"></a></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJZrHTxlV1tcQZklBNa1507cn22dE2nR6GYMr7huLnTY1Hjc81EENRUnZkNo21o5fOcNmJZGY8mqhjyJLFkR8WNEqBXBebxjxCMXXIsC8zP68Z7-U2DhLlYwJg9l626OOHoQi0Ww/s1600-h/DSC_0578.JPG" style="text-decoration: none;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJZrHTxlV1tcQZklBNa1507cn22dE2nR6GYMr7huLnTY1Hjc81EENRUnZkNo21o5fOcNmJZGY8mqhjyJLFkR8WNEqBXBebxjxCMXXIsC8zP68Z7-U2DhLlYwJg9l626OOHoQi0Ww/s320/DSC_0578.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379027487247741762" style="text-align: left;display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /></a><div style="text-align: center;">corrib village playground</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div><div>We stayed in one of the university apartments in Corrib Village, a home to students of National University of Ireland in Galway. It's a budget accomodation situated in the heart of the city. The only thing that I find not so impressive is the room cleanliness. It's not dirty though but not impeccably clean,which for me, the most important. Its atmosphere compensates the whole thing. The environment is so relaxing and child-friendly. We ended the day strolling the place and enjoying the playground. The kids absolutely had fun, and for parents, seeing the kids having fun is certainly a whale of time.<div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div></div></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-14407321698029650672009-09-06T16:06:00.000+02:002009-09-06T16:07:33.697+02:00The long week visit to my sister in Ireland<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>It has always been a dream of mine to be near with my family, but situation does not allow us to have it. And God is so good that He let me and my sister live in neighboring countries,such as Ireland and Germany, therefore seeing each other more often is something that is capable of happening. Ireland's weather is cool and damp. This is the summer where you can never hear me complaining of the heat, because heat doesn't beat too much. We always have our light jacket with us the whole time. It's not just me whose having a great time more so my little one. It's so rewarding to see him enjoying the company of his cousins. For the whole time that we were there, it's not just them who learned a lot, but just by looking at how children behave,we (I and my sister) also learned a lot from them. We would rather say they are certified "little people". It's really a lot of work but it's also lots of fun.<div><br /></div><div>Our typical day there of course started with a "chaotic breakfast" where each of them(the kids of course) wanted something different, and always wanting to try what the other one is eating. Sounds peaceful right? If the weather looks lovely then playground is the next thing to go. If it's raining which is so often, then its either we stay home and play, go to indoor playground or just go to the mall. These may sound so ordinary and routine but it's definitely an occasion where you wanted not to end. The kids were really enjoying, not just the kids but the the adults too. What was really memorable for all of us was when the alarm sounds, it means waves is activated. My little boy was so brave in facing the waves. I can't believe seeing him with no fear. What's unfortunate is that no camera's allowed, therefore I've nothing to show you here. We're not able to take some photos outside too because it rained just as we arrived and the rain was pouring when we're about to leave. No chance really.:(</div><div><br /></div><div>It was a actually a 7 week long stay, we never did something extraordinary. What matters most to me are the moments that we're able to spend together.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-49650173331669517762009-08-20T16:12:00.003+02:002009-09-03T16:36:30.540+02:00Finally back in Germany again!<div><br /></div>We arrived from Ireland last August 18. I feel it has been ages that I no longer have the enthusiasm to get back to blogging again. Well lazy me, I guess. Johann (my little boy) must have been so excited, I don't have any problem with him on the plane. He just let me buckle him up, book reading and just a little need of hugging everytime little turbulence occur.You're doing a great job that's what I told him with a smile. What was really funny when we landed and as the seatbelt sign was off, he stood up and looked outside, while looking outside, nodding his head and saying "ok..ok..ok". The lady beside us was actually laughing of Johann's reaction. It was indeed a pleasant flight. Thank God for bringing us home safely.<div><br /></div><div>I'll be telling about my Ireland trip in my next entries. </div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-72867242947509449832009-06-29T21:52:00.001+02:002009-06-29T22:34:23.628+02:00On Vacation<div><br /></div>As I am writing, I am also thinking of packing things for our trip to Ireland. We'll be there for about 7 weeks. I'm looking forward to see my nephew and niece, and of course my sister. I would probably slack from visiting other blogs then, but surely I will resume as I get back from vacation. I would surely have a lot of things to share as well. I just hope my little boy would behave during the flight and everything will go smoothly, or else I would surely feel so harass. Only the two of us will be travelling, the hubby will only follow at later date. May we'll have a safe and fun filled trip.Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-56136952189747688362009-06-24T11:51:00.001+02:002009-06-24T15:24:51.380+02:00Disneyland Paris<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5cSx3jjYHyBsyDH1mVebTkmB3GfNhyphenhypheneStCoF-LdT2YU1SjiTTQXU9KZREucU12GRFyqhKQ3rizuTS9EXGeRm_aClJDFVcclNHYk1aUxn2MFlyVF66Edl8W37DEz-Y6Fk9JyOFaA/s320/P5040705COPY.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350881349505669538" /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgez4MLHbv_i-tOejKYl_KVqth8VRRvnhZrWGOiMmYut0ref5q30ZIqYP5KQAZveZVcJF0_WluEwNVo_AcSyTkWfrLTDWJPqHGw9oo8XSmI-uezkAixB7mBk831DbpQy_tSeOFCRw/s320/DSC00624.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350879589980690210" /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAmSoPG8AOywYQtX2QK7Z9qi6f3TTL65wLGG_ng5rroajYtdJoNeAW9SSFrfnrupFsBGb6Ny1hoR64rvymlHtJ97FjGx0IjH9z6gJ_le6JflNMB2fyhO7EApVKydfyjgHD3mDPng/s320/P5040751SAVE.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350881355857865746" /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-bM1obiXs-x8AxTrA27Qmr4MS5exOsN1lQkjNc_83T69zBdZPLajIirkRA7v5StjDKQKrQ-e7L83nt1aV8jha_xzNzr48UARGUGCkMYaqvW4mGcBW4-2e4sSjxW7-h_wD6fGVZg/s320/P5040781copy.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350881363014471666" /><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioEt80LAh2NK7T6DFwRU1nWidgTptp9i8ZiTbx82fvxvnDZrJShl-dhAAXjSfZB0dbhpLUUm-Vzt_MzpZ6kG6gWLsIOSj_7l-3XIJXuMrk2fWOA2vIUDg92WipKnPQ0SxCNBsuyg/s320/DSC00678COPY.jpg" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350879594897267250" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCqetwNbmz4PdB1h5p1fuC23hyem-W_48bi3yMnYFqzWdCX-9Ad4PzMb-wJEcuvKFcQ9YxtrU03vWKgSYiUD7MlGByGK6juDGtpdEyZa0ZxaeFDKhEn0DgOqlGhp96k2qTJFrAYg/s320/DSC00635.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350879581426556610" /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Disneyland is almost synonymous with a happy place. One would not expect you to be lonely in this fantastic place. When I was kid and was asked what's your greatest wish, My answer was to go to Disneyland. It was a wish because going out of the country is expensive and I know that we didn't have the means to do it. The feeling was kinda nostalgic and heartwarming when my sisters and I were talking about it. Yes, we went together in Disneyland with our kids, a wish coming true, we were not able to go there as kids but the more fulfilling it was because we were able to do it with the kids of our own, something that we didn't expect to happen. God has really its way of making things happen for you. I will not be talking about Disneyland Paris here and its amenities, I just like to share you some photos we had. 'Twas taken last year with my family and my sister's family, when they visited us here in Germany and did some side trip together to Paris. Hope you enjoyed the photos above. <div><br /></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-25973113591186043522009-06-22T16:49:00.005+02:002009-06-22T18:38:02.984+02:00shrimp in oyster sauce<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggKy4Ube7CvPvJUKVr2oL2ebe6oJKcpF73OWD3TyrCA2ciQySY7xDTuUfDc7ZYVFQRr4l58LmXSKssvNQ_Bg_QaI8dBhTOsZ0KSyqGvl6gF39KRDwRz4QXjJGWdCFgbqxRoR5-Og/s1600-h/DSC_0190copy.jpg"><img style="text-align: justify;display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 265px; " src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggKy4Ube7CvPvJUKVr2oL2ebe6oJKcpF73OWD3TyrCA2ciQySY7xDTuUfDc7ZYVFQRr4l58LmXSKssvNQ_Bg_QaI8dBhTOsZ0KSyqGvl6gF39KRDwRz4QXjJGWdCFgbqxRoR5-Og/s400/DSC_0190copy.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350190313888593618" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">My Tuesdays and Thursdays are my quick cooking lunch days. Good if I have cooked a dish the night before then all I need to do is reheating the food. My language classes starts at 9 in the morning and finishes at 11 A.M. It's not quite late though, but the walking from school to our flat is around 30 minutes, so when I reach home it's almost time for lunch. In few minutes, my little boy will be complaining and surely would be asking for his lunch, and in a little while again, my hubby will then come home for lunch. Surely, it's one of my hectic mornings, my afternoons will be more of the daily chores which I consider light for there's no pressure to be doing it at once is needed. So here is one of the quick dishes I cooked.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>500 g. <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>frozen shrimp<br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>1 tsbp.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>sweet chili sauce</div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>2 tbsp.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>oyster sauce</div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>1 tsp.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>soysauce<br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>1 tsp. butter</div><div> garlic powder</div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>1 tbsp.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>basil</div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>salt</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">It's very rare that you can see a fresh sea food in the area, so almost always when we crave for sea foods, the frozen ones are our refuge. So here it goes, thaw the shrimp first, then coat with butter, basil,garlic powder and salt, then set aside. Prepare the sauce, just combine the sweet chili sauce,oyster sauce and soysauce, heat and set aside. Sautee the coated shrimp until cooked. Place the cooked shrimp on a plate then pour the sauce. It provides its resident with comprehensive coverage .With its health insurance reform in 2007, it is now mandatory for everyone living in Germany to have health insurance. Why? Medication,Hospitals and doctors are extremely expensive. You need to secure yourself in times of sickness and emergencies. You can choose between state health insurance and private health insurance. The health insurers differ only slightly in the level of contributions collected and the services and coverage offered. The basic services covered are laid down by law. All employees below a certain income are obliged under law to publicly insured. If income is above, the individual can choose between public/state and private health insurers. Well, you might ask which is better among the two? The answer is it depends on your circumstances. Contribution on state health insurance is based on income,therefore if you have higher income then it would be cheaper to have a private insurance.And one of the greatest advantage in having a state insurance is, your family is included at no extra cost. On the other hand private health insurance is based on your risk profile, not your income. Women and older people in general pay higher contributions than young men. They have calculated it based on possible average cost for different groups. The best side of having private insurance is its scheme offers more extensive coverage including alternative therapies and treatments, glasses, contact lenses and other services that may not be available in state health scheme. Some doctors treated the private health insurer preferentially compared to state health insurer. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">sources:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span> </span><a href="http://www.gkv.info/">http://www.gkv.info</a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.gkv.info/"></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span> </span></span><a href="http://www.bmg.bund.de/">http://www.bmg.bund.de</a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-76901458825917396442009-06-12T08:56:00.005+02:002009-06-13T11:55:24.528+02:00Fish fillet in soysauce<div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_4UGUZ7DkLpopx43oyfWjPe_Jk7FZfmMEbJlD6QLnAWJSi33pAAnt68TX80V4XwAc0tpyswYefzSh8Vg-Bi2_8SreIr_5DlQtkcimBqSNZHyFN1ReE2CyA3OyfGf9qgD011PMUA/s1600-h/DSC_0202.JPG"><br /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 265px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_4UGUZ7DkLpopx43oyfWjPe_Jk7FZfmMEbJlD6QLnAWJSi33pAAnt68TX80V4XwAc0tpyswYefzSh8Vg-Bi2_8SreIr_5DlQtkcimBqSNZHyFN1ReE2CyA3OyfGf9qgD011PMUA/s400/DSC_0202.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345739996143835474" /></a><br />It was a lazy Saturday, all I wanna do is sit in the couch and watch a movie. My hubby whose always been understanding and generous willingly volunteered to cook for lunch. We all love fish dishes, and a special request of mine definitely would be a "fish for lunch please". Johann and I was playing and cuddling while the smell and aroma of the cooked fish made us both hungry. By the way, here's what my loving hubby cooked for us.<div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>4 pcs. fish fillet (shark catfish or pangasius)<br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>1 clove of garlic<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>1 thumb size ginger<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>1 pc. red bell pepper (sweet variety)<br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span> 1 tsbp. soy sauce<br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>sunflower oil<br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>salt<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Slice all the vegetable thinly and fry it until crispy, then set aside.Use little oil as possible.Keep warm. Season the fish with salt. Fry until golden brown. This time make sure you have a teaspoon of oil left from frying for you will be using this with the fried fish. Lay the fish on a plate, pour the oil left. Garnish with the fried paprika, ginger and garlic. Pour a tablespoon of soy sauce and that's it. A delish lunch for us. Quite simple but I should say very flavorful and satisfying dish. For fish lover you should give it a try.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10017904.post-9049530541074440392009-06-09T16:09:00.007+02:002009-06-10T21:05:27.256+02:00One Fine day at the Zoo<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi67KJBSVuWmN6h223W41x_z633JVtBwDyCchxhgg5wnz_ir3qIqfuPYB9WJ9WaAEm94IpZF-iyK12HwRrlTFL6s8BM00wBRS5frdqD-MjMsQWsr4TbZeeVFVCYhieAyIFKmbhIcA/s1600-h/DSC_0074.JPG"></a><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Raining! that was the weather forecast last Sunday, yet we decided to go somewhere. Remember we dreaded to go to the zoo last easter but was unlucky enough to get a parking space? Right after the mass we just felt we need to go somewhere else, 'twas not planned, and with Johann's fascination for animals we right away thought of the "Zoo" again! We arrived at "Tierpark Hellabrun" just before lunch, the parking lot was almost full and our little boy had fallen asleep. Perfect, we can have a good lunch with my hubby while our little boy is recharging his energy. Children under 4 years old are free, so only my hubby and I have to pay for the entrance fee. That costed 9 euro each. We then head to the nearest entrance and that is where these flamingos are located. Look how lovely these pink creatures are.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOrbaQA_o6xR5mCSlaqoWr9-ABe_aJzzWHCxxBt3Z9_ifOuu7s-PtShcyoQ_K5ziDGCRsbYXduPQit62nXxKNou-WR1UnnnoDCHDVbGcei301XALzDhmGLruQgkwQA8NqWp1NTXg/s320/DSC_0018.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345429744089707970" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The zoo is big enough for you to enjoy all the animals, so we decided to just pick the animals that Johann knew already. Indeed, the feeling is so rewarding to see your little boy with so much awe and joy seeing the animals. He's having a wonderful time with the fishes. Here are some pics of it.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 238); -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline; "><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmwh9Qg5KiYXNKC435lYNykvEdyor2XZlEYl_c0PyV33UOtYhnsvoOtsQA1KPZDqnWieBPUKGUhUuJqEga2OZx9LNQuHR5u6N-QCDKPXrl0ek-vf6ATk8omfYoOdj91fRN8xNrLQ/s320/DSC_0022.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345430078937356386" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Just as we gazed this gigantic elephant, Johann kept on saying "elephant", so nice to know that your child can now identify some animals. The zoo animals was placed according to continent, so we opt to "AFRICA" because this is where the animals that Johann is most familiar with. Of course along the way, we passed by on some other animals like red panda, iguana and asian elephant. It's so funny because eventhough how much we told him that "oh! there's a leopard! he kept on insisting that it's a tiger. It is actually an advance birthday celebration of a friend. There were five of us, 3 ladies and 2 gentlemen. I'm telling you the numbers because you should know who ate this sumptuous spare ribs I have in the picture. It's indeed a bash. The baked potatoes are equally perfect though I'm not really a fan of it. Our little boy was with us though I made sure that Johann had his fill before leaving the house and of course bring along his favorite toy train thomas and lightning mcqueen to make sure everything will be in order. We enjoyed our food just as much as we have enjoyed our conversation. And the best thing is...it's a treat! Thanks Cenen for the wonderful dinner. We really enjoyed it.<div><br /><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrjI3pCFWTgp7TjRCmKrqg2aEn9Eoa_GuFawqT4IFJU33Umn_-5eb-EfX2Rn1O1lUexDbMs-GwSyD4juxnH03dNwCTb4_PZ7PcOLv50u2zFlTSIrqSJstEB8L0LE6LKxHOaoiXVw/s320/DSC_0005.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 212px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343899472833810322" /><br /><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC7eZ_IdJRTTDPcwdKSVXRBH4iH4l10gfHkuSG_F9nI5eAP-KwZSD6thZeVNmOJHpBWaRp9SAWohe9Z4kaLUn_UwWD13GzgZHAfAfjI1LNmH8kLiC9sE0SjS2tX37tViI4bs2ylA/s320/DSC_0002.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343899473527183442" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 212px; " /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><br /></span></div></div></div>Joe-annhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01411439957281893659noreply@blogger.com12
